Refund Policy

Last updated: July 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds, cancellations, and billing issues are handled for Compoundra.

Compoundra is a product operated by rebalio Labs, an independent research project based in Uruguay. For the purposes of this Policy, "Compoundra", "rebalio Labs", "we", "us", or "our" refers to the people operating the Compoundra service.

1. Overview

Compoundra may offer free plans, paid subscription plans, trials, founding member plans, or other access tiers.

Where paid access is offered, payments are processed by Paddle, our Merchant of Record. Paddle acts as the authorized reseller of Compoundra subscriptions and handles payment processing, applicable taxes, invoices, refunds, and chargebacks.

We want users to feel comfortable trying Compoundra. This Policy explains when refunds are available and how to request one.

Nothing in this Policy limits any refund, cancellation, withdrawal, or consumer protection rights you may have under applicable law or under Paddle's applicable buyer terms.

2. First Subscription Refund

If you are not satisfied with your first paid Compoundra subscription, you may request a full refund within 7 days of your initial charge.

This refund applies only to your first paid subscription and may be used once per user, account, or payment method.

To request a refund, email us at support@compoundra.app with the subject line "Refund request". Include the email address associated with your Compoundra account and a brief description of the issue.

Refund requests may also be submitted through Paddle's buyer support at paddle.net.

If approved, your subscription will be canceled and the refund will be processed by Paddle to the original payment method. Paid access and any unused credits associated with the refunded subscription may be removed when the refund is approved.

3. Renewals

Monthly renewal charges are generally non-refundable.

If you do not want to continue your subscription, you should cancel before your next billing date. You may cancel at any time through your account settings, Paddle's billing portal, or the available subscription management tools.

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation prevents future billing but does not automatically refund unused time or unused credits from the current billing period.

After cancellation, you may continue to have access to paid features until the end of the billing period you have already paid for, unless your access is terminated for violation of our Terms of Service or a refund is issued.

4. Exceptions

We or Paddle may issue a refund for a renewal charge or other payment if:

  • You were charged in error.
  • You were billed more than once for the same subscription period.
  • A charge is confirmed as fraudulent or unauthorized.
  • The Service was unavailable for a significant portion of the billing period due to an issue on our side.
  • A refund is required by applicable law.
  • We or Paddle determine that a refund is appropriate in the circumstances.

To request a refund under this section, contact us within 14 days of the relevant charge.

5. Free Plans and Trials

Free plans, free trials, waitlist access, beta access, promotional access, and other unpaid access tiers are free of charge and are not eligible for refunds.

Unused free report credits, trial credits, promotional credits, or beta access credits have no cash value and are not refundable.

Unless otherwise stated, unused free credits do not automatically carry over if you upgrade to a paid plan.

6. Paid Report Credits and Usage

Reports generated through a paid plan are considered consumed only when the generation process completes and a report is made available. A failed or interrupted generation that does not deliver a usable report should not consume a credit, although restoration may require manual review during early access.

Used credits cannot be restored, exchanged for cash, or transferred between accounts. Unused paid credits have no cash value and do not create a right to a partial refund.

Whether unused credits roll over or expire is determined by the plan terms shown at the time of purchase. Cancellation does not extend the life of credits beyond the applicable access or billing period.

Use of credits does not automatically eliminate the 7-day first-subscription refund described above. However, we may deny a request where we reasonably believe there has been fraud, abuse, or substantial use intended to obtain research without payment, subject to applicable law and Paddle's buyer terms.

7. Founding Member or Promotional Plans

From time to time, Compoundra may offer founding member plans, discounted plans, early-access plans, promotional pricing, or limited-time offers.

Refund eligibility for these plans will follow this Refund Policy unless different refund terms are clearly stated at the time of purchase.

If different refund terms are stated at checkout, those terms will apply, subject to applicable law.

8. Abuse and Misuse

We reserve the right to deny a refund request where we reasonably believe there has been abuse, fraud, misuse of the Service, violation of our Terms of Service, or repeated attempts to obtain refunds after substantial use of Compoundra.

This does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws or Paddle's applicable buyer terms.

9. How Refunds Are Processed

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method through Paddle.

Processing times may vary depending on Paddle, the card issuer, bank, country, and payment method. Once a refund has been initiated, it may take several business days to appear on your statement.

We will take reasonable steps to confirm when a refund has been initiated.

10. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

If you believe a charge is incorrect, please contact us first at support@compoundra.app. You may also contact Paddle through paddle.net for order and payment support.

We will review the issue and try to resolve it promptly.

If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute, your access to paid features may be suspended while the dispute is being reviewed.

11. Changes to This Refund Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as by email, through the Service, or by updating the date at the top of this page.

The version posted on this page will apply to refund requests made after the updated Policy becomes effective, subject to applicable law and any terms presented at the time of purchase.

12. Contact
