About

Built from one investor's research process and two complementary disciplines.

Compoundra is an independent equity research product built in Uruguay for investors anywhere in the world.

It began with a process repeated company by company, question by question, and click by click. Understanding a business meant moving across filings, financial statements, presentations, interviews, competitors, risks, valuation, and company history. It also meant returning to investor letters and books to recover the questions that rarely appeared together in one platform.

The information existed. The framework did not.

Andrés and Pablo decided to bring that scattered work into one research system. One side would define what to look for and why it matters. The other would build the technical process capable of finding, organizing, and testing the evidence consistently.

That process became Compoundra.

The product

What we are building

Compoundra examines company fundamentals and business narrative through a connected framework covering quality, moat, customer value, economics, reinvestment, capital allocation, management, financial strength, bottlenecks, risk, valuation, and long-term compounding potential.

It is designed for investors who already use market-data, screening, charting, brokerage, or research platforms. Compoundra adds the fundamental layer that comes before price, timing, technical signals, sector exposure, or portfolio fit.

It is not a stock picker and does not issue personalized investment instructions. Its purpose is to filter scattered evidence into a structured view of the business: what appears strong, what remains uncertain, where narrative meets numbers, and which questions deserve deeper work.

Speed is useful. Structure is the product.

The framework

The intellectual foundation

Many of Compoundra's questions come from our independent study of public investor letters, books, interviews, presentations, and business histories. The initial framework draws on recurring principles associated with Nick Sleep, Jeff Bezos, Terry Smith, Chuck Akre, Joel Shulman, Michael Mauboussin, Philip Fisher, Peter Lynch, Bill Ackman, and Pat Dorsey.

Compoundra does not impersonate these individuals or reproduce an official method. It turns recurring public principles into questions tested against company evidence.

The first ten minds are the foundation, not the limit.

The individuals referenced by Compoundra are intellectual inspirations only. They are not affiliated with, responsible for, endorsing, sponsoring, reviewing, or participating in Compoundra.

The team

Two people. Complementary work.

Andrés
Investment philosophy & product direction

Andrés is a Financial Engineer, investor, writer, and market researcher. His path began in his family business, continued through the international culinary industry, and returned to markets and finance. He leads the investment philosophy, company-analysis criteria, product direction, and questions behind the framework.

Pablo
Technical systems & implementation

Pablo is an MSc Data Scientist with a MicroMasters from MIT and more than 20 years of experience with data, models, algorithms, and systematic research. He leads the technical systems, research workflows, data and AI integrations, and infrastructure that turn investment questions into consistent, improvable processes.

Compoundra exists at the intersection of those roles: investor judgment translated into a functioning research product. It is developed with the support of rebalio Labs, our independent financial engineering project.

Early access

Where we are today

Compoundra is opening gradually as an early-stage product. The core framework is active, while its criteria, evidence coverage, presentation, and capabilities will continue to improve through real use and feedback.

We are not trying to look like a large institution. We are building deliberately, starting small, and learning from the investors who put the framework to work.

The ambition is larger than the current product: to build a research system that helps investors see businesses more clearly, connect narrative with evidence, and decide what deserves their limited attention.

Put the framework to work.
